Peter Drutz
President
Prior to beginning with Comfort Keepers, Peter Drutz had extensive general management experience including being Executive Vice President, Retail with Indigo Books and Music Inc., and President of OutThink, Inc. a marketing and strategy firm . Before that, he was with Amex Canada, Inc. for close to 20 years, where he held progressively responsible positions including Vice President and General Manager of the Travel Services Network which included management of the Amex franchised network.
Peter has an MBA in Marketing and General Management from York University, an Honours BA in Social Sciences and a Certificate in Personnel and Industrial Relations, both from the University of Toronto.
In addition to his overall leadership role, Peter’s prime focus includes new franchise development, national partnerships as well as corporate development.
Laurie Saunders
Vice President, Operations and Marketing
Laurie Saunders launched Comfort Keepers in Canada in 2004 and is particularly proud of the team we are building across Canada and the wonderful difference we are making in people’s lives.
Before bringing Comfort Keepers to Canada, Laurie was President of Mirbecca Holdings, an information management firm. She has also worked as a business and information consultant for a variety of industries as well as spending twenty years in public sector library management.
She has co-authored a book on ovarian cancer which won the Health Care Public Relations Association (Canada) HYGEIA Award.
Laurie has a Masters of Library and Information Services and a MA in History from the University of Toronto.
Laurie’s overall responsibilities include sales and marketing, training and the development of operational and client management policies and procedures.
Wayne Maillet
Franchise Business Coach
Wayne supports the franchise growth and development of Comfort Keepers and plays a day to day coaching role in support of the franchisees growth.
Wayne is also President of Franchise Specialists and began his experience in the franchise industry in 1985, as a business broker, assisting entrepreneurs in buying and selling businesses, some of which were franchises.
Since that time, Wayne has worked for numerous franchises, both large and small, in a wide variety of industries. Companies that he has worked with include Realty World, Uniglobe, The Keg Steakhouse, Canada Bread and Cartridge World.
He has awarded over 250 franchises across Canada, the United States and internationally over his career.
Susan Uno
Franchise Administrator
Bringing 30 years as an executive assistant, Susan has been a welcomed addition to our head office team. Her primary responsibility is to provide the necessary support to the Canadian franchisees. She is a prime example of delivering the highest level of customer service whether face-to-face or over the phone. She is admired for her ability to take on any task and for coming up with new and improved methods to help keep the franchise operations running smoothly.
Peter Eusanio
President, Eastern Canada
After selling his successful food brokerage company in 2003, Peter retired and decided to spend more time with his parents. he quickly discovered how vulnerable seniors are and especially the silent crime of abuse. At that point, Peter made a decision to do whatever he could to ensure that seniors and their rights are respected. Peter joined the Comfort Keeper team in 2005 as President of the Eastern Canadian division and subsequently launched Comfort Keepers in Quebec and the Maritimes.
Peter’s background includes the success of many startup business ventures turning them into multi million dollar conglomerates. A fluently bilingual Quebec native, specializing in professional sales and marketing with extensive experience in the total operations of small and medium sized companies.
Peter was educated both at Concordia and York University in business administration.
In the past Peter served as President of Canadian Frozen Food Association as well as the President of We Care (Easter Seals). Currently Peter is on the Executive Committee of the West Island Senior Table and is in his second term of President of the Table de concertatrion des ainés de Montreal, the alrgest and the mosst important of the 17 regional tables making up Conference de tables regionales with accountablilty to the Minister of Health and Social Services.
Peter is responsible for the Quebec and Maritimes business development as well as all other business activities in those areas.
Jill Eusanio
Director of Operations, Eastern Canada
A bankruptcy litigator by trade, Jill changed careers to use her business background in International Business and Finance to assist with the launch of Comfort Keepers in Eastern Canada. Jill, fluently bilingual, acts as Director of Operations for the Eastern Canadian market.
Jill’s academic background includes a bachelor of commerce and a bachelor of law, with distinction as well as being a Certified Ssenior’s Advisor.
Jill is responsible for the development of the Eastern Canadian market as well as assisting existing Quebec franchisees with launching their Comfort Keepers’ office and improving day to day franchise activities.
Jill is extremely passionate about Comfort Keepers and personally runs and oversees two (2) Quebec Comfort Keepers offices.
