With the option of in-home assisted living as a lifestyle choice, they are able to begin a new and different approach to day-to-day living while still maintaining the convenience and familiarity of their own home.

2018-accreditation

The extensive process of accreditation involves industry experts evaluating an organization’s policies, procedures, and processes against a set of quality criteria. Comfort Keepers offices had to meet or beyond Accreditation Canada’s stringent requirements for home care companies in order to become recognized. Achieving certified status requires meeting a number of requirements, including those related to employee safety, client safety, infection prevention and control, and a healthy work/life balance.

By becoming accredited, Comfort Keeper can guarantee that its clients, as well as their families and loved ones, are getting the best care available. Employees at Comfort Keeper are aware that their employer is dedicated to offering a secure workplace where caregiver performance is valued and acknowledged. Comfort Keepers’ ten offices nationwide—Barrie, Simcoe, and Miskoka—that have all attained accredited status attest to the company’s commitment to quality, safety, and excellence. This further solidifies Comfort Keepers’ standing as the industry’s top provider of home care services.

Peter Drutz, President of Comfort Keepers Canada, stated: “Continuous quality improvement is a philosophy that includes accreditation.” Our network’s authorized offices and the rest of us remain committed to raising the caliber of services offered as part of our never-ending pursuit of perfection.

By utilizing our Interactive CaregivingTM approach and the Nourish Senior Life Program®, Comfort Keepers of Barrie is able to deliver superior home health care services to senior citizens and the elderly.

Nourish Senior Life® Program

Within the framework of the Senior Nutrition component of Interactive Caregiving, we place an emphasis on the diet and nutrition of senior citizens by means of the Nourish Senior Life® Program. In addition to offering screening for malnutrition, the Nourish Senior Life Program raises awareness about the significance of maintaining a healthy diet for individuals aged 65 and older. It also educates the general public about the problems associated with malnutrition in senior citizens. Senior citizens can maintain their independence and reduce the need for in-home care by maintaining a healthy diet.

Interactive Caregiving™

What we call “Interactive Caregiving” is a four-pronged strategy to providing care for senior citizens. By putting an emphasis on senior mental health, senior physical health, senior nutrition, and senior safety, this style of care for the aged allows for an increase in the sense of well-being and independence that seniors experience. In most cases, a child or grandchild of an elderly or senior loved one comes to us because of a fall, malnutrition, or improper management of medicines. This is the case when the child or grandchild approaches us. We are addressing the primary reasons why a senior or elderly person requires home senior care in the first place by concentrating on these four aspects: the mind, the body, nutrition, and safety. The goal that we have set for ourselves is to help your senior loved one return to a manner of life that is more independent.
