Comfort Keepers has partnered with ARTC to support their dedication to senior health and wellness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.artc.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Adult Recreation Therapy Centre<\/a>&nbsp;offers daily activities to individuals who suffer from stroke, Parkinson\u2019s disease, MS, and other progressive disorders, as well as for adults in early stages of dementia. This Centre offers a variety of social, recreational and therapeutic activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The goal of this facility is improving the well-being of seniors so they can live independently at home with some of the homecare solutions provided by Comfort Keepers. &nbsp;Seniors\u2019 mental and physical health is improved through a variety of activities. Our dedicated caregivers can take your loved one to the Adult Recreation Therapy Centre and assist them as necessary. Your senior can stay there for a whole day or half of it, depending on their needs and wants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Adult day programs are one of many homecare solutions. They will help your loved one maintain an optimum level of physical ability, intellectual function, and social interaction through structured activities. With their help, your senior will stay in a hospital for just a short while, improve their health and well-being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Seniors can choose from various programs at the Centre. Their therapeutic recreation activities are focused on improving the health and well-being of visitors. Also taking care of their physical, social, cognitive and emotional needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your parent will be able to enjoy walking, gardening, bowling, playing volleyball or Wii games, woodworking, crafts, and moving to the sound of music. Socializing is necessary for their well-being. So Comfort Keepers suggest joining some of the cooking and baking groups, inter-generational programs, attending holiday parties, listening to guest speakers, entering discussion groups and going to luncheons and BBQs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mental exercise is as important as physical. So at the centre, your loved one can stimulated with trivia, quizzes, crosswords, board games, and computer games. Book club, discussion groups, music and drumming circle are there to give your loved one emotional support. The Adult Recreation Therapy Centre also offers exercise programs, aphasia programs. Also foot care clinics offered once a month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We also work with other individuals and organizations that strive to improve senior health and wellness.
