Welcome to Comfort Keepers® of Kingston – In-Home Senior & Elder Care

Home is the best place to be. We’re proud to provide home care throughout the Kingston region that keeps seniors safe in their homes.

Comfort Keepers of Kingston provides a wide range of in-home senior care services for the the Kingston, Belleville, Brockville Ontario and surrounding areas. In-home elder care provides family members with peace of mind, knowing their loved ones are taken care of. Providing long-term care for an elder can be very taxing and time consuming. Hiring home support services such as Comfort Keepers of Kingston reduces this stress.

Through our unique system of in-home health care we call Interactive Caregiving we help our senior care clients enhance their independence and sense of well-being. The three things that can lead to seniors losing their independence are falls that lead to hospitalization, medication mismanagement, and under or mal-nutrition. Senior safety is the cornerstone of our approach to elder care and Interactive Caregiving because insuring in-home safety directly affects the well-being of our clients. We also directly address elder nutrition through our STOP Hunger community awareness campaign.

Comfort Keepers® of Kingston, Ontario provides a wide range of home senior care services.

Comfort Keepers of Kingston, Ontario’s breadth of senior care services includes senior companionship and personal care services, light housekeeping and meal preparation, to more specialized services for those with dementia and end of life care needs. We assist with transportation to and from doctor’s appointments, the grocery store, and the pharmacy. For those, especially Veterans, we provide assistance with completing the necessary paperwork for subsidized home care. Our office also has Vision Loss Services. We partnered with the Canadian National Institute for the Blind to provide specially trained care assistants who help seniors and the elderly with vision loss, helping to maintain their independence and remain in their homes.

Nourish Senior Life® Program

As part of the Senior Nutrition aspect of Interactive Caregiving, we focus on senior diet and nutrition through the Nourish Senior Life® Program. The Nourish Senior Life Program creates awareness towards the importance of a healthy diet for those 65 and older, and educates the public about malnutrition in seniors as well as providing screening for malnutrition. A proper diet helps seniors preserve their independence, and avoid in home care.

Interactive Caregiving™

We use a four pronged approach to senior care called Interactive Caregiving. This model of elderly care helps increase seniors’ sense of well-being and independence by focusing on Senior Mind, Senior Body, Senior Nutrition, and Senior Safety. When a child or grandchild of an elderly or senior loved one approaches us, it is usually as a result of a fall, malnutrition, or medication mismanagement. By focusing on these four areas of mind, body, nutrition, and safety, we are addressing the main reasons a senior or elderly person needs home senior care in the first place. It is our goal to return your elderly loved one back to a more self-sufficient way of life.
