The most rewarding aspect of providing safe, secure, elder care and home care is the knowledge that clients are happier if they can have the choice and resources to remain in the \u2018comfort zone\u2019 of their familiar environment. That our\u00a0Comfort Keepers<\/em>\u00a0are exceptional on-site caregivers is reflected in the comments volunteered by our clients and their families, some of whom may live outside of Ottawa and appreciate the extra help that Comfort Keepers can provide.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor almost five years, the staff of companions and personal care assistants from Comfort Keepers have helped my parents get the most they are able from life in their old age. First as a couple in their apartment, and then on their own in extended care facilities, Mum & Dad have benefited from the considerate attention of these kind, competent and professional people. I, and my siblings, have greatly appreciated the insightful feedback we receive about our parents\u2019 health and well being from them in personal communications. What we like the best is that the longer serving caregivers developed a genuine friendship with my parents, and with us. \u2028I know that my father\u2019s life now that he is without his wife would be far less interesting and stimulating were it not for the excellent efforts of the Comfort Keepers. I also know that the lives of his children would be more stressful if it were not for their services.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Even as her condition deteriorated, she was always very clear that she deeply desired to stay in the comfort of her home where she has lived for 52 years. That was only made possible with the compassionate and thoughtful Comfort Keepers staff. They have persevered through many strenuous days and some personally difficult situations, but always ensured that my aunt was safe and content. Both the front line staffers and the management were most supportive in this turbulent time and have done an amazing job in allowing her to stay at home as long as she has. They have allowed her to retain her dignity and her self-worth in a trying time. I am not sure what I might have done with this support.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
