As a nurse, she was only allowed to tend to their medical, or skilled care, needs.<\/p>\r\n<p>Her clients often valued companionship and requested small favors to improve their quality of life. Whether it helped with laundry, a ride to a doctor\u2019s appointment, or spending time over a puzzle, her patients simply wished to have someone brighten their day with a few minutes of conversation and a helping hand at home.<\/p>\r\n<p>Kris brainstormed with her family to find a phrase that captured the emotion and sentiment of their future business. Kris\u2019 daughter suggested \u201cComfort Keepers\u201d based on the company\u2019s goal: to\u00a0<b><em>keep\u00a0<\/em><\/b>clients\u00a0<b><em>comfortably\u00a0<\/em><\/b>at home as an alternative to expensive nursing homes and senior facilities. And Comfort Keepers was born!<\/p>\r\n<p>Since 1998, the company has flourished from a dream to 700+ locations worldwide.<\/p>\r\n<p>Today, Comfort Keepers is the solution for uplifting\u00a0in-home care services to thousands of seniors every day. Comfort Keepers is available in 13 countries through independently owned and operated locations that make a difference in the lives of seniors and other adults in their community.<\/p>\r\n<p>The Comfort Keepers franchise system includes a large, global network of caring individuals. Many of our location owners came to Comfort Keepers due to their own experiences caring for a loved one.
