What is Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease?

Dementia is a deterioration in cognitive function, which manifests as memory loss or evidence of being unable to do things they once could. The most prevalent type of dementia, according to the Alzheimer’s Association, is Alzheimer’s disease. About 50 to 80 percent of all dementia cases are caused by it.

How Comfort Keepers Can Help

Our caregivers are skilled in providing your loved one with specialist Alzheimer’s care. They are there to keep your loved one engaged in what they formerly enjoyed while solving puzzles and enjoying music. If your parents enjoy cooking, our caregivers can help them or prepare their favorite meals for them. Additionally, they are there to keep them company and engage them in discussion at meals or other activities they enjoy. Comfort Keepers’ team is here to help your family during this trying time and transition because we are aware of how tiring it can be on both the mind and body.

If your family wishes to learn more about our specialized Alzheimer’s care plans, please contact us today! We would be happy to schedule a free home care consultation or to discuss our plans further. We look forward to hearing from you! Call (519) 804-4742 or email to info3032@comfortkeepers.ca
