2. Frequently Asked Questions

a. Do you guarantee hours?

No, we are unable to do so. Hours are dependent on numerous factors, including the client’s overall health; some clients are recovering from an injury or illness and require short-term care, whereas some clients are stable and require ongoing care until a life change occurs (such as transitioning to a retirement home).

b. Do you offer permanent full-time or part-time employment?

No, we do not offer permanent employment.

c. Do you accept applications without a resume?

No, we do not. You need to invest time and effort into drafting an effective resume. Otherwise your resume will be automatically filtered out and then we cannot consider your application.

d. Can I apply over the phone/text/WhatsApp/other?

No, all applications must be submitted using the form below at the bottom of this page. You must attach your resume as well. Please DO NOT CONTACT US ANY OTHER WAY FOR EMPLOYMENT.

e. Once I apply, how long does it take to hear back from Human Resources?

It could take days or weeks or months. You will hear back from us only if your application is successful and when we have work available.

f. I applied 5 times and did not hear back. Why is this?

Firstly, you should not apply more than once. Doing this wastes our time and effort; we do not like this. Secondly, go re-read all the above questions and answers. Thirdly, we receive thousands of applications every year and we do not have time to go through each one and reply back. That is just the reality of it.

g. I contacted you for employment through your web contact form. Why did no one call me back?

Web contact forms are for clients and prospective clients only. All employment applications must be submitted online AFTER reading this entire page. If you do not respect our process, we will not reply.

h. Do you know a resource for creating an effective resume?

Yes. The government of Ontario has an excellent resource. Click here or Google: OPS cover letter guide.
