Comfort Keepers Wins Business Excellence Award

Local businesses took center stage as outstanding Semiahmoo Peninsula business people were honored at the South Surrey and White Rock Chamber of Commerce’s annual Business Excellence Awards banquet, Thursday (Feb.1) at Hazelmere Golf and Tennis Club.

Seven categories were awarded: 1 – 7 employees, 8 – 14 employees, 15 or more employees, best non-profit organization, best new business, best business person in a self-owned enterprise, best business person in a corporate environment.

In the 15 or more employee category, the award went to Comfort Keepers, an in-home care provider emphasizing the highest possible level of independent living, and was accepted by owner and operator Heather Martin.

“It is such an honor to be recognized by the South Surrey and White Rock Chamber of Commerce,” said Martin. “We are thrilled to be named a Business of Excellence and will continue our mission of bringing quality home care to area residents.”
