Lori Ciappara is the owner of Comfort Keepers in Dufferin, Caledon, and Tecumseth Regions. Lori has been a Personal Support Worker for almost 25 years. Her extensive experience includes caring for seniors in Long Term Care, Retirement, Group Homes and Homecare.
To further her career in caregiver, Lori created Compassionate Care Health Services in October of 2000. Starting with a select group of 5 PSW’s, who shared her passion for seniors, Compassionate Care grew quickly and branched out to surrounding communities. In 2008, Compassionate Care became part of the Canadian Comfort Keepers network. The move to join Comfort Keepers was a result of Lori’s commitment to improving the quality of the services she offers to her clients. Since joining Comfort Keepers, Lori’s office has been awarded Top Single Territory Sales in Eastern Canada every year from 2012-2017. In 2018 her office was awarded Top Single Territory Sales in Canada.
Lori has a lifelong passion for working with seniors and helping them achieve their best possible quality of life. She is dedicated to her community and as a local small business owner she is committed to supporting other local businesses. When she is able to spend time away from her business, Lori enjoys quality time with her husband (Chuck), daughter (Marissa), and her three sons (Zachary, Blake & Jaden). Her hobbies include, reading, camping, watching her kids play sports, and travelling.
Laura, the Director of Client Services for Comfort Keepers in Dufferin, Caledon and New Tecumseth, is a Registered Nurse who has more than 25 years of experience working in a Hospital setting. Laura joined Comfort Keepers in 2019 bringing her skills and experience to compliment the services provided by our Personal Support Workers.
As the Director of Client Services, her role is to provide our clients and their families with options to support them and create an individualized plan of care to further their goal of remaining in their home for as long as possible. Laura is a “people person.” She enjoys getting to know our clients and learning what brings them joy. Her warm personality helps put people at ease during what can be difficult conversations.
Laura spends most of her free time with her three amazing kids, Danielle, Adriana, and Liam, and can often be found at the Lacrosse field cheering them on. She also loves to lavish time and attention on her beloved pets, four cats and her fourth baby, her Golden Retriever, Murphy.
Amanda is the Scheduling Coordinator for Dufferin, Caledon and New Tecumseth region of Comfort Keepers. Amanda has been a PSW for over 10 years and started her career with Comfort Keepers as a PSW. In March 2018 Amanda became the Scheduling Coordinator. Her role as a Scheduling Coordinator is to schedule the PSW’s with our clients. This is done by matching clients with a PSW that can meet their care requirements, but also match their personalities for the best possible outcome. The scheduling is a difficult position as the schedules are everchanging, and requires constant communication between clients, family members, PSW’s as well as other agencies.
Amanda is a busy working Mom, and enjoys baking and doing crafts with her sweet daughter Alexis!
Marissa is the Administrative Coordinator for Comfort Keepers in Dufferin, Caledon and New Tecumseth.In her position, Marissa is involved in all aspects of the company including social media, human resources, recruiting, and staff support both in the office and in the field.Marissa enjoys spending time with her fiance Evan. Her hobbies include reading, cooking, travelling, and horseback riding.
