Comfort Keepers Calgary: Meet Our Team

Offering the best, quality home care services.

Inese and David Hanson have been fully committed to Senior Care in Calgary and surrounding areas since 2003. They have dedicated themselves to building an excellent business organization that is responsive to the needs of our valued seniors in and around Calgary.

Starting a home care business for seniors was a logical and natural progression career move for Inese. After completing a Kinesiology degree (major in Recreation) from the University of Manitoba she worked as a Recreation Therapist for various organizations in different capacities. A hiatus from formal work settings allowed Inese to be a “stay at home mom” until her two children became reasonably independent. With a mom who was aging and requiring more of her time she became acutely aware first hand of the challenges of growing old with dignity. She soon realized that working with the senior population was a career she would like to pursue.

David has been involved with Comfort Keepers since its inception and has been able to work and help develop the business on a part time basis while working with the Calgary Board of Education as a special needs educator and administrator. Five years ago, David took early retirement and came on board full time with Comfort Keepers. With a degree in business combined with extensive small business experience plus an education degree with expertise in the “helping and people development field”, he brings a unique set of skills to the company.
