Tracy Drury

Tracy has extensive experience in home care, health, social work, management and process improvements. Tracy has a Bachelor’s in Business, and in Social Work, and is registered with the Alberta College of Social Workers, she also has a Diploma in Adult Psychology.

Tracy worked at several multinational companies as a manager and process improvement expert before working at Alberta Health Services for 9 years as a Social Worker and a Manager. Tracy has spent most of her time at Alberta Health Services in Home Care, both rural and urban, so understands the ever-changing needs of home care and the importance of quality and consistency in care.

Tracy showed exceptional customer service, consistency and quality in her previous business and had 100% compliance in all areas of licensing and regulations in the 12 years she owned the Calgary based business. Tracy sold the business in 2018.  Tracy’s passion has always been home care, seniors and assisting clients with their needs and problems.

Due to Tracy’s background she has a wealth of knowledge about home care, senior’s health, dementia care, mental health, business management, resources and connecting services to clients needs.

Mark Drury

Mark is co-owner of Comfort Keepers Calgary, and is responsible for the technical and financial side of the business. making sure staff get paid and the business keeps growing.

Marks background is in the trades and in finance, he a licensed financial advisor and brings with him a wealth of accounting and financial experience.

Mark has very strong customer service skills, his background in sales and service have made him adaptable and responsive to customer needs in an ever changing environment. He understands that the clients are our lifeblood, without happy customers and staff we have no business.

Tracy and Mark’s skills complement each other, with a proven track record of building high quality service they will strive to enhance the Comfort Keepers customer experience.

Tina Lavallee
Administration Coordinator

Tina has extensive experience in scheduling and office administration. She has in-depth knowledge of the Comfort Keepers on-line management and scheduling system. Because of her background, Tina supports the Scheduling and Human Resource function, in addition, any other administrative needs that arise. Tina is a great problem solver and remains calm when stressful situations occur. Tina has been a part of the Comfort Keepers team since 2016.

On her off-work hours, Tina spends her time crafting, camping, quading, fishing; anything related to the outdoors! She enjoys spending time with her granddaughter, husband, children and close family and friends.

Tina was a health care aide for 3 years working with seniors, and then transitioned to the office admin level of health care and has over 10 years of combined experience. Her passion, empathy and energy show just how much she enjoys every day that she works with seniors!

Cheri Douglas, LPN
Client Care Coordinator

Cheri is relatively new to Comfort Keepers, but has brought with her 15 years experience in the health care profession.

Cheri started out as a certified health care aid, and has experience in Home Care, Assisted Living, SL3/SL4, and Long Term Care. She then decided to further her education and received her Licensed Practical Nurse designation.  With this new designation, Cheri worked Acute Care and in the ER when needed. During the past year, Cheri went back to school part time and will receive her Advanced Clinical Esthetician Certification, Fall 2019.

Away from the office, Cheri enjoys spending time with her friends and family which include 3 rescue dogs and special needs cat.  Cheri enjoys traveling whether it involves hitting the road or catching a plane to a far away destination.

Tracey LaRocke
After Hours Coordinator

Tracey has been with Comfort Keepers since 2006. Tracey handles all after hour concerns in a very effective and efficient way. The online scheduling and management system helps her to resolve after hour concerns. Tracey is a very important piece of the Comfort Keepers administrative staff and allows Comfort Keepers to provide full 24-hour service.

Tracey was born and raised in Calgary, she has 3 dogs, 1 cat, and 1 lovebird! She hopes to add to her pets by getting a miniature dash hound (her favourite dog). Tracey enjoys spending her time with her pets, 2 children, canning, baking, trying new recipes on the BBQ, gardening, sitting outside and watch tv shows. She also enjoys going to the mountains, hot springs, hiking, feeding the birds, rabbits, squirrels, and deer (outside her back door).

Tracey has been in the healthcare field for 18 years, has her health care aide certificate and is very interested in expanding her education by getting her Masters in Gerontology. Her compassion for older adults and seniors shows through her hard work and dedication to the job. She is passionate about advocating for her clients.

Tracey was awarded the Canada wide Comfort Keeper of the year Award for 2018. Tracey is a very inspiring person and caregiver! We are so happy to have her as a part of our team!

Cynthia C.

Cynthia is a seasoned professional who has a passion for teaching others to take control of their health. She has worked in a variety of capacities as an RN in Calgary for the past 38 years. Cynthia has a creative approach to introduce a healthier living style by teaching those around her what she knows in a fun, creative and informative way! Her personality and approach is refreshing!

Sharon McGahan
Community Relations & Business Development Manager

Sharon can often be found “out and about” doing Community outreach and co-hosting Wellness Events with our Registered Nurse, Cynthia. She also helps out in the office answering phones, taking client calls and assisting however else she can.

Sharon’s career began in Oil & Gas where she spent 18 years working for a major Oil & Gas Company. In 2017 she worked as a Job Developer/Coach for a special needs association in High River. She was responsible for matching individuals with barriers to employment with employers. The end result created many meaningful and rewarding connections. Her most recent position was as a Retirement Living Consultant for a Retirement Residence Community in Calgary. She really enjoyed helping the senior population and their families.

In her free time, Sharon likes to spend time with family and friends. She has two sons and six amazing grandchildren. She spends quite a bit of her off time with them at sporting events, dance classes, cooking, baking and sharing family recipes in her kitchen. She loves the outdoors and really enjoys riding her bike and walking with her dog along the river pathways near her home. Sharon and her husband enjoy traveling to Ontario with their trailer, dog and two cats to visit family. They also enjoy camping at home with their grandchildren and pets.
