When you or your loved one begins working with Comfort Keepers, our senior care coordinator will work with your family and loved one’s medical team to assess physical and medical health, home life and living situation, personality, and more to form the foundation of your personalized care plan. We will also include an Interactive Caregiving component into each client’s plan that will incorporate physical and social activity into a regular routine. All activities are based on a medical recommendation from your loved one’s physician and can include walks around the block, cooking, conversation, board games, and more. Your loved one’s caregiver may also encourage him or her to engage in activities outside of the home such as an outing to the Scarborough Museum, a picnic at Scarborough Bluffs Park, or even a trip to the local Metro to do some grocery shopping.

Our care aides also maintain relationships with community agencies and organizations throughout the area that provide events, activities, and resources our clients may wish to take advantage of, including the Stephen Leacock Community Centre, Scarborough Centre For Healthy Living, Pine Tree Senior Centre and Scarborough Senior Citizen Centres. We happily provide transportation services to and from any activities, appointments, or events throughout the Greater Toronto area to make sure your loved one gets where they need to be safely and on time. Additionally, our senior care providers can accompany your loved one throughout any of these outings if requested to take notes, and provide emotional support and companionship.
