Q: Is PPE provided to staff and clients by Comfort Keepers Peterborough?

A: All of our Comfort Keepers are provided with PPE including masks and gloves as needed. Likewise, if a client cannot supply their own PPE we are able to supply it to them at no additional charge.

Q: Are your staff vaccinated?

A: Yes. All of our staff are vaccinated in compliance with current government regulations.

Q: Do you offer rapid testing if needed?

A: Yes. Rapid testing is part of our regular health and safety protocols. All office staff is tested twice each week. Additionally, rapid testing is available to both our Comfort Keepers staff and clients as needed to ensure their comfort and safety.

Q: What are your screening protocol for staff?

A: All staff are required to self-screen daily before going to work. This applies to both office staff and in-home caregivers. Screening must be completed a minimum of 8 hours before a scheduled client visit. Staff are responsible for reporting any changes with their health to our office immediately. Someone is available to take their call 24/7 to ensure scheduling changes can be made if needed. Finally, at the end of each in-home visit, each caregiver must complete an automated list of questions via our custom Comfort Keepers app. Questions include updates on Covid-19, their overall health and allow them to record a request for additional PPE when needed.

Q: What happens if a staff member has symptoms of Covid-19?

A: If a caregiver or member of staff displays symptoms related to Covid-19, they are directed to Peterborough Public Health for testing. They are required to follow current guidelines for self-isolation while waiting for results and are relieved from work until a negative test is reported.

Q: What is your screening protocol for visitors to the Comfort Keepers office?

A: To ensure the safety of our staff and clients, all visitors are asked to disclose if they have any symptoms of Covid-19. We take and record their temperature, sign them in and ask them to sanitize their hands. All visitors are required to wear a mask. If they do not have a mask, one will be provided to them before entry.
